Renewal is paperwork you send in to keep your Medicaid case active. It proves you still qualify for the coverage you have now.

The agency sends you a renewal form before your coverage period ends. You usually get at least 30 days to send back proof of your income and household. If the form does not come back in time, your coverage can stop until you reapply.

This word shows up on Medicaid renewal packets, next to the date your response is due.
