  Members ages 21 and older are enrolled in a Medicaid dental benefit with 1,000 dollars of coverage per year for preventive care such as cleanings and x-rays, restorative care such as fillings and crowns, and braces when they meet the criteria for medical necessity.

  AmeriHealth Caritas Delaware covers doula services. A doula is a nonmedical birth companion who offers emotional and physical support during labor and delivery.

  Members under age 21 get a routine eye exam every 12 months plus eyeglasses or contacts every 12 months as a standard benefit. Eyecare for members 21 and older is a value added service Delaware First Health provides.

  Delaware First Health covers 3 prenatal doula visits and 3 postpartum doula visits, with additional value added visits available for members who need more support.
