What this notice usually means

Ohio calls SNAP renewal recertification. Your county Job and Family Services office sends this notice. It comes before your certification period ends. It asks you to send a new application. Use Form JFS 07200 or Form JFS 07204. You also need an interview. SNAP cannot go on past your certification period without a new decision. Your county agency makes that call.

What to do now

  1. 1

    Find your certification end date

Your notice shows the last day of your certification period. Ohio says you are on time if your county agency gets your form by day 15 of the last month. Check your own notice for your exact date.

  2. 2

Send in Form JFS 07200 or JFS 07204

Your county agency gives you a JFS 07200 form or a JFS 07204 form. Either one starts your file date. It just needs your name, address, and signature.

  3. 3

    Complete your interview

Ohio requires an interview as part of recertification. It can be with you or with someone you name to help. You can ask for a phone interview. You do not have to go in person.

  4. 4

Try the online pre interview questionnaire

If you signed up for Ohio Benefits text messages, you may get a link before your interview. You can use it to sign your form, answer questions, and upload proof online. This step is optional.

  5. 5

Call your county JFS office with questions
