Medicaid coverage in North Dakota
Most people on North Dakota Medicaid do not pick a health plan. The state pays for your care directly, and there is no private health plan to choose.
One group is different. North Dakota Medicaid Expansion covers adults ages 19 to 64 with lower incomes. For that group only, North Dakota contracts with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota to manage their care. If you are not in the Medicaid Expansion group, this does not apply to you.
If you are not sure which group you are in, contact North Dakota Health and Human Services at 1-800-755-2604, or visit hhs.nd.gov for your specific situation.
