What this notice usually means

A Chapter 13 plan confirmation notice sets the hearing on your repayment plan. You must file your plan within 14 days after your case starts. The court can allow more time if needed. The hearing must happen no later than 45 days after your first scheduled 341 meeting of creditors. Before that hearing, the court must mail a notice. It goes to the debtor, the trustee, every creditor, and every indenture trustee. That notice must go out at least 28 days ahead of time. The same 28 days is also the deadline to file an objection to the plan. Those 28 days count backward from the hearing date. They do not count forward from when your mail arrived. All of these counts are calendar days.
