What this notice usually means

Form SSA-8202-BK checks your SSI case again. Social Security uses it to re-verify your income and living setup. It confirms your ongoing payment amount.

What to do now

    Gather current income and resource information

    List your current income, bank accounts, and other resources before you start the form.

    Describe your current living arrangement

    Note who you live with and how household expenses are shared, since this can affect your payment amount.

    Send the form back through a listed channel

    Return it by mail or at a local Social Security office. The method on your notice.

    Call Social Security if anything is unclear

    Call 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778) with questions about the form.
